Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten

4 hamburger buns

Olive oil for grilling

Lettuce and tomato for serving (optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated, but do not over-mix.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty, about 1 inch thick.

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with olive oil.

Cook the burger patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and have a nice golden-brown crust.

During the last minute of cooking, place the burger patties on the grill or skillet and top each one with a slice of white cheddar cheese. Cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.

Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster, if desired.

Assemble the burgers by placing the chicken patty on the bottom half of the bun, adding lettuce and tomato if using, and then topping with the other half of the bun.

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious White Cheddar & Spinach Chicken Burgers!
