Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten

2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)

Burger buns

Lettuce and tomato (for serving)

Optional: favorite condiments (mayo, mustard, etc.)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and the beaten egg. Mix until the ingredients are well combined but do not overmix.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about ¾-inch thick.

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties to the pan.

Cook each patty for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns under a broiler or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the bottom half of the toasted buns. Top with lettuce, tomato, and any desired condiments. Place the top half of the bun on and serve immediately.
