Ingredients

1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 large flour tortillas

2 cups frozen French fries

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 medium onion, diced

1 bell pepper, diced

2 jalapeños, sliced (optional for heat)

1 avocado, sliced

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Sour cream and salsa, for serving

Instructions

Cook the Fries: Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen French fries package. Spread the fries on a baking sheet and bake until golden and crispy, about 20-25 minutes.

Prepare the Steak: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced steak with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Make sure the steak is well-coated with the spices.

Sear the Steak: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steak slices. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the steak is browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from pan and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add diced onion, bell pepper, and jalapeños (if using). Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until softened.

Combine Ingredients: Reduce the heat to medium-low, return the steak to the skillet, and mix in the cooked French fries. Sprinkle both cheeses over the top and cover to let the cheese melt, about 2-3 minutes.

Assemble Burritos: Lay a large tortilla flat on a clean surface. Place a generous amount of the steak and cheese mixture in the center, along with slices of avocado. Fold in the sides and roll up tightly to form a burrito. Repeat with remaining tortillas.

Toast the Burritos (optional): In the skillet, lightly toast the burritos seam-side down for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden.

Serve: Cut the burritos in half, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
