Ingredients

12 large pasta shells

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

2 cups marinara sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook Pasta Shells: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, finely chopped spinach, ½ cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff Shells: Take each shell and fill them generously with the spinach and ricotta mixture, placing them seam side up in a greased baking dish.

Add Sauce: Pour marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well-coated. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve warm.
