Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup hot sauce (adjust for spice preference)

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk with a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).

Prepare the Breading: In another bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

Prepare the Hot Honey: In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk together the honey and hot sauce until combined. Allow it to warm slightly but do not let it boil. Set it aside.

Coat the Chicken: Once marinated, remove the chicken breasts from the buttermilk and let excess drip off. Dip each chicken breast in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring an even coating. Press the flour onto the chicken for an extra crispy texture.

Fry the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot (about 350°F or 175°C), carefully add the coated chicken breasts. Fry in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan. Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

Crumbly Feta Topping: Once the chicken is cooked, place each breast on a serving plate while it’s still hot. Generously sprinkle crumbled feta cheese over the top.

Drizzle with Hot Honey: Finish by drizzling the warm hot honey mixture over the chicken and feta. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

Serve: Enjoy your Crispy Hot Honey Feta Chicken with a side of your favorite veggies, fries, or a fresh salad!
