Ingredients
  

1 lb (450g) boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)

Honey Garlic Sauce:

1/3 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken pieces and make sure they are evenly coated with the mixture.

    Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or frying pan, heat about 1/2 inch of oil over medium-high heat.

      Fry the Chicken: Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated chicken pieces in batches. Fry for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the chicken and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil.

        Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer for about 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

          Combine Chicken and Sauce: Remove the saucepan from heat and add the crispy chicken to the honey garlic sauce. Toss well to coat the chicken evenly in the sauce.

            Serve: Transfer the chicken to a serving dish and drizzle any remaining sauce over the top. Garnish with sliced green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
