Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 package refrigerated pizza dough

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small bell pepper, finely chopped

1 can black olives, sliced

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Salsa (for dipping)

Fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or turkey) until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.

Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until softened.

Stir in the taco seasoning along with the required water as per package instructions. Mix well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.

Remove the skillet from heat and fold in the black olives and both types of cheese until melted.

Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into rectangles (approximately 4x6 inches).

Place a generous spoonful of the cheesy taco mixture onto one half of each rectangle, then fold the other half over and press the edges to seal.

Brush the tops of the taco sticks with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with salsa for dipping and garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired.
