Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)

1/2 cup homemade or store-bought pimento cheese

4 hamburger buns (toasted)

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 cup arugula or lettuce

1 medium tomato, sliced

1/4 red onion, thinly sliced

Olive oil for grilling

Instructions

Prepare the Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined; be careful not to overwork the meat.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, making a small indent in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly brush with olive oil.

Cook the Patties: Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness (130°F for medium-rare, 160°F for medium).

Add Pimento Cheese: In the last minute of cooking, top each patty generously with pimento cheese and close the grill lid to allow it to melt slightly.

Toast the Buns: While the cheese melts, place the buns cut-side down on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly toasted.

Assemble the Burgers: Once the patties are done, place them on the toasted buns. Layer with arugula or lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion.

Serve: Close the burgers with the top bun, serve immediately, and enjoy your Pimento Cheese Delight Burgers!
