Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 cup bread crumbs

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 egg, beaten

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 can (15 ounces) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup beef broth

1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn, etc.)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon paprika

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape the mixture into beef patties, approximately 1/2 inch thick.

In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Brown the patties on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. They don’t need to be cooked all the way through, as they'll be baked later.

In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, frozen mixed vegetables, thyme, and paprika. Stir until well combined.

In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, arrange the browned patties in a single layer. Pour the soup and vegetable mixture over the patties, ensuring they are well covered.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
