In recent years, the air fryer has taken kitchens by storm, revolutionizing the way we cook our favorite meals. This versatile kitchen appliance mimics the effects of deep frying by circulating hot air around the food, resulting in crispy exteriors and juicy interiors without the need for excessive oil. The popularity of air frying stems from its numerous benefits: it’s quicker than traditional cooking methods, often healthier due to reduced fat content, and lends itself to a variety of dishes—from vegetables to meats.

Ingredients

1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)

Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preparation: Start by patting the steak cubes dry with paper towels. This ensures a better sear and helps achieve that crispy texture.

Season the Steak: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

Marinate the Steak: Add the cubed steak to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the marinade. Let it sit for about 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cook the Steak Bites: Place the marinated steak bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Air Fry: Cook the steak bites at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Check for your desired doneness; for medium-rare, the internal temperature should be around 130°F (54°C).

Serve: Once cooked, remove the steak bites from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley, if using, and serve with lemon wedges for an added zing.

Enjoy: Serve these delightful steak bites as a main course, appetizer, or toss them into salads or wraps!
